4. What is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual Direction is for anyone looking to go deeper in their relationship with God. God has already made the first move toward you and is inviting you to respond. However, our lives are often cluttered in a way that makes his loving initiative toward us difficult to see and experience. This is where meeting with a spiritual director can be helpful. A spiritual director’s role will be to cultivate a pace of slow listening to help you experience God’s attunement to you and to grow in your attachment to God. Together you and your director will look to the Holy Spirit; it is His role to guide the entire process.
